Lucky Dog Rescue Gets 90 Day Fiance Laura Jallai In Tears Over Badly Burned Dog

Lucky Dog Rescue in Stamford, Connecticut posted up photos and a terribly sad story about a dog named Luca. Severely burned, the dog has now endured over a week of terrible pain and a number of procedures. When Reality TV star Laura Jallai saw a post, she said that she cried for the pooch. If you don’t know, Laura was featured in the TLC show 90 Day Fiance. Clearly, judging by other comments, many people joined her. Now, a progress report came in and the shelter is looking for funds to help Luca live a good life.

Lucky Dog Rescue Helps Animals Who Desperately Need It

Dog lovers like nothing better than a feel-good story. Unfortunately, not every doggie tale is a heartwarming or happy one. Whilst it might be hard to look at photos of animals who don’t make it into the headlines for happy moments, people who do see them step up and ou their hands in their purses. Fortunately, that means the organizations can continue to assist abused animals. Well, Luca sure needed a lot of help, and still has a long road to travel.

When the not-good news arrived on Facebook on April 19, Lucky Dog Rescue said that Luca had been handed in Apparently, the pup was found in West Virginia. “Covered in ticks and seeping sores,” a later update said that a vet estimated he’d been burned about five days previously. Understandably, Luca was in “an extreme amount of pain.” People quickly stepped up and over $1000 was donated. Since then, more updates went out, and now it looks like Luca will live, but needs more funding.

The photo below is not the worst one that the shelter posted up. Even so, it graphically reveals how badly burned the puppy was. In their update, the shelter’s admin said, “Luca has what is sometimes called a “clown face burn”, in which the mucous membranes around the eyes and nose burned at a greater intensity because of the sensitive nature of the areas.” Many more procedures follow for Luca, “and the “most important part is keeping his pain managed (check!) and infection at bay (ongoing).”

Laura Jallali couldn’t help but express her feelings. The 90 Day Fiance alum wrote, “Luca story brings tears to my eye as it is hard to understand how something so horrible happened to this sweet baby. Luca stay strong sweet boy! A good life is coming your way … stay strong 😘.” 

In the replies, Lucky Dog Rescue confirmed, “he’s going to have the absolute best from here on out. The good life.”

More Funds Needed For The Pup

Lucky Dog Rescue posted up on Facebook on April 27, that they look for more funding for Luca. In that post, they said, “#transformationtuesday is here and Luca has made amazing progress in the past week! After his ear surgery to remove the tissue deem unsalvageable, the burns debrided and fancy healing sugar packs to promote healing, Luca is nothing but tail wags and sweetness.”: Sadly, “He has a long road ahead of him and will likely spend quite a few weeks in the hospital for care.”
