Dog videos and photos seem to do a lot for folks troubled by various issues in life. Across social media, people comment how tales about bravery and kindness amongst animals make them feel happy. Often, people turn to animals, whether real or in videos for a touch of happiness. That probably explains why the Netflix movie, Rescued by Ruby recently got such a good reception.

Heartwarming dog stories don’t always have a happy ending, but they seem to be so loyal and faithful that people simply can’t ignore them. For instance, King, a Golden Retriever worked his way into the headlines when he sat by the body of his owner for 16 long days. Heartwarming Dog Stories On Easter

Easter brought a story that really made a lot of people smile. Not only because it involved an extremely cute otter, but because of Gus, the big-hearted hero who saved the little animal. You see, as Cleo Young told CBS, her dog only has three legs. According to her story on YouTube, Gus lost his leg after he was diagnosed with cancer. Unfortunately, a tumor meant that he has to get around on only three legs. So, the family worried that he might not be able to run around like he used to.

Heartwarming dog stories that come with a happy ending are the most popular ones. So, it probably makes people feel great knowing that not only can Gus still run around, but he also swims. Apparently, the day Gus went to the St. Croix River, it was cold. Additionally, the water was really freezing cold. So Cleo was astonished when Gus just took off swimming. To her amazement, he returned carrying a very small baby otter.

The Otter Would Have Died

Without being rescued, the people at The Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in Roseville said that the otter probably wouldn’t have survived. After all, he’s so small. he should have been tucked away safely in the nest.
