According to the bad boy’s mom, Peyton was in trouble for hitting his five-year-old sister Ryleigh when he was angry and they needed to be separated. Smith said she gave her son two options: go to his room or have a timeout. Meanwhile, Peyton decided to take the timeout, leading the English mastiff to decide to keep him company.

Social media users quickly fell in love with the loyal pup, with one Facebook user writing, “Nothing like a best buddy, even during a timeout.” Another commented, writing, “Awww… That’s what I call a pure friendship. He really is such a very good dog.”

Moreover, another follower wrote, “What a precious picture! That’s unconditional love at its finest! This picture says it all! Love it.” Moreover, another comment reads, “Dash looks to be saying ‘I got your back little buddy.’”
