In the Netflix movie Dog Gone, Fielding Marshall (John Berchtold) is devastated after his beloved dog, Gonker, goes missing. However, with the help of his father John (Rob Lowe), Fielding goes on an unforgettable journey on the Appalachian Trail to search for Gonker. Meanwhile, the timing of the search is crucial, as Gonker needs his life-saving medication.

The six-year-old golden retriever mix has Addison’s disease, which occurs when the adrenal glands fail to produce hormones in charge of the body. In Gonker’s case, his sudden disappearance is critical, as he can only survive 23 days without his medication.

According to the streamer, Gonker is a good dog. He plays fetch (but only with a stick he chooses), enjoys a sprinkle donut and can “hit a mean yoga pose.” When he goes missing, Gonker’s human, Fielding Marshall (Johnny Berchtold) and Fielding’s dad, John (Rob Lowe) head out on an epic quest. They both head out on the Appalachian Trail to find their beloved dog.
