If your dog shows problems with moving his or her ears, this could be a sign of trauma, parasites, infections, or allergies. To protect your pooch’s hearing, make sure that you keep ears dry, groom beneath ear flaps, and use cleansing solutions to clear away any excess wax or debris.

2.    Dogs aren’t Color Blind

A lot of people believe that dogs are color blind. However, scientists agree that dogs can see a limited range of colors, because they possess a number of color receptor cones. Dogs can be prone to irritation in the eye, injuries, in-growing eyelids, cataracts, and corneal ulcers. You should make sure that you don’t allow hair to grow into your dog’s eye, and you can always use a cotton-wool ball to clean away mucus.

3.    80% of Dogs Have Gum Disease by the Time They Turn 3

Your pup’s mouth is important. It’s how he eats, and gives you plenty of kisses. Unfortunately, 80% of dogs have some manner of gum disease by the time they turn three. Gum problems can include periodontal disease, and gingivitis. Make sure that you brush your dog’s teeth regularly, and get routine checkups from a vet.

In dogs, liver diseases like Jaundice can contribute to 12% of all deaths. That’s why it’s important to look after your pooch’s liver with a friendly diet. That diet might include vitamins E and B, eggs, fish, grains, and plenty of fat and proteins.
