I have gathered some practical and fun items that your dog will love to play with, sleep on, snack on, and wear this spring and right on throughout the year.
A sturdy toy or two will keep them busy and get them some much-needed exercise while they are home alone or at playtime with you.
One of the biggest reasons our pets act out while they are home alone is due to boredom, loneliness, and stress. You can alleviate these by keeping them busy while you are away with something like this treat dispenser that keeps them working for their reward.
If you have a nervous pup during storms consider grabbing a thundershirt for them, these fitted garments make your dog feel more secure and can reduce their anxiety quite a bit.
Even if you take your dog to the groomers they often need a trim between visits to keep their nails from being overgrown which can lead to discomfort and makes it easier for their nails to get caught on something and be pulled out (Not to mention that they will scratch you more often.)
Opt for treats with natural ingredients, that are the right size for your dog, and are in flavors they will enjoy. Grab a variety of soft, crunchy, and chewy rawhides to dispense- remember to use them as an occasional snack and don’t overdo it!
Got a little pocket pet that likes to be with you all the time? Take them with you more often in a cute carrier like this one. Be sure to see how they do in at home before taking them out in public to avoid injury from them jumping out.
Maybe this is more for you than them (unless it’s a warm cozy sweater to keep the chill away but how sweet is this little dress for Easter? I think a doggie Easter basket is a cute idea. I never did that with my dog when we had one, but love the idea.
These are really great tips. No goodie basket for my dog this year. I feel like a bad mom. :( Maybe Dexter should get a new sweater for winter. :)
I LOVE the idea of making a doggy basket for your puppy! I am going to make one for our Rosie, our golden retriever :) Thanks for the fun idea!
Oh my goondess how fun! I never thought about doing baskets for pets. So cute!
I didn't know this was a thing. But I think there's a super cute idea for people who have dogs.
Oh my!! My two pups would love to get these items. I've got to get to work being the Easter bunnies helper!
Omg love it!!! I have two fur babies and we always make them easter baskets. They are part of the family so they definitely need baskets of their own
This is such a cute idea. After all, our pets are part of the family so why shouldn't they get treats also on Easter?
This is cute. We don't have a dog, but my parents do.
My little guy is totally getting one. Going to start on it this weekend!
