The votes are in for the 2022 Cadbury Bunny and the winner is the cutest dog. Annie Rose, a therapy dog, from Ohio was awarded the honor. The cute English Doodle loves doing therapy work to keep nursing home residents happy and we also can’t stop smiling.
For those who don’t know, an English Doodle is a cross between a poodle and an English cream golden retriever. Meanwhile, besides becoming famous, Annie Rose works as a therapy dog at nursing homes in Ohio. Hailing from Cincinnati, the cute canine even has her own Instagram account where she shares cute images, including the run-up for the competition.

Annie Rose came out tops in a national voting contest among a varied list of candidates, including a hedgehog, llama and a bearded dragon. She follows in the footsteps of last year’s winner, Betty, a tiny tree frog from Florida.
According to a press release from Hershey, which manufactures and distributes Cadbury chocolate in the US, Annie Rose will star in her own Cadbury commercial. She also took home an impressive $5,000 cash prize which should provide plenty of treats for the English Doodle.
Annie’s Rose’s owner, Lori Rahn, wrote in a Facebook post that she is “so in awe of the support, love, excitement and votes you guys gave us.”
“I also realized in this process, Annie is not a therapy dog to just nursing homes,” she added. “She is a therapy dog to all of us.”

Annie Rose is much loved by residents at the nursing home. It turns out that even during the pandemic she still kept the residents happy. While the COVID-19 restrictions meant no visitors to nursing homes, Annie Rose didn’t give up. According to the statement from Hershey, “She worked even harder, dressing up and strutting her stuff outside the nursing home windows instead.”

Meanwhile, Annie Rose’s win also benefits dogs in need as the Cadbury brand also donated $20,000 to The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. According to the statement, Hershey pledged to donate $5,000 for every 5,000 votes received in the contest.
Each year, Cadbury holds a contest for voters to pick any type of animal to represent the brand for the year. The winning Cadbury Bunny becomes the brand’s mascot and often features in television ads as a rabbit that clucks like a chicken. Readers can see who the English Doodle was up against here.
This year is Annie’s Rose’s chance to represent Cadbury’s delicious chocolate and it is clear she will do it so well!
