Taking your dog out for regular exercise is honestly the best way forward. This should be a top priority for pretty much any dog lover out there. Still, if you want to take your pup for a walk in the park, you need to make sure that you are polite and conscientious of other people. Here are some tips that should help.
Take poop bags with you
Make no mistakes, your dog will take this opportunity to relieve themselves. After all, why shouldn’t they? You just need to make sure that you are as prepared as possible for this issue. When your dog poops, it’s your responsibility to pick it up. There are no two ways about it. You have to make sure that you scoop it up asap.
Don’t wear your dog out first
Before you take your dog to the park, you shouldn’t be playing games with them in the garden or the like. Sure, you might think that you’re being helpful, but you’re not. Your dog will want to run around when they reach the park. If they are too tired to do so, it will be a fully wasted journey for the both of you.

Understand your dog’s personality
You know your dog better than anyone else. If your pup happens to be rather aggressive with other animals, that’s something that you (and you alone) need to handle. Be sure to keep your dog on a tight leash and be careful around other pets.
Read all the signs!
Every park has a load of signs which you just can’t ignore. You need to make sure that you read all the signs along the way. They will let you know where you can let your dog off the leash and where you can’t. You should also look out for rare areas where you can’t take your pup at all.
Make sure that your dog is trained
Is your dog well trained? Do they listen to you when you call them? When you take a pet to a public space, you are responsible for just what they do. That means that you need to make sure that you control them. If their are kids around, you will need to keep your dog as close to you as possible.
Know how to deal with conflict
If your dog does get annoyed, you have to deal with the situation. Be sure to make a plan of action ahead of time. That way, you will find that you’re prepared for every eventuality. Then, you can just enjoy a stroll in the park. Bliss.
