Tiktok Video Reveals Ring Clip Of Owner’s ‘Last Selfie’ With Beloved Dog

A truly heartwarming moment has been shared as a viral TikTok video after the said passing of a Doberman. It is always tragic when a family’s beloved dog passes away and naturally when a dog owner was mourning his Doberman, Ruby, it is truly hard. However, while mourning his dog, the dog owner discovered footage, taken by his Ring Doorbell camera. In fact, the camera captured the man’s “last selfie” with his beloved dog, Ruby.

A TikTok account @rubydooby_do is all about “Ruby the Zipper Nose Doberman.”  The account has many fans and followers, as Ruby’s owner shared her life on the video platform. However, on August 2, the beloved Doberman lost her fight with dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM). Reportedly, this particular heart condition largely affects the breed, but losing a dog is never easy.

However, Ruby’s owner has a Ring doorbell camera, which caught something truly special. While looking through the footage, her owner found moments of them together. In fact, he said this is something he will always “cherish.” According to the wording on the TikTok clip, the owner said the Ring video means so much to him, adding:

Ruby and I would always take pics in the doorway so the camera wouldn’t pick it up. For some reason, I decided to take pics on the steps instead.

It turned out that instinct was truly uncanny, as four days later, Ruby passed over the rainbow bridge.

Last selfie together

In the text of the TikTok video, he writes, “It’s our last selfie together,” adding, “The smile and that nub wag she had will be with me forever. The pain of not having her is still with us but seeing that beautiful smile definitely helps with the pain.”

Watching the footage reveals Ruby hopping onto her owner’s back as he sat on the steps. In fact, it is almost as if Ruby knew how to pose perfectly for the images.

In his caption to the TikTok video, the mourning owner explained that this was their last selfie together. But also the only “behind the scenes video I have of our selfies.”

The moving and heartwarming video quickly went viral, attracting 1.9 million views at the time of writing. Fans were also quick to respond to the sad news of Ruby’s passing. One wrote, “Ruby was OUR dog. Thank you for sharing her,” while another wrote, “I love the pure, beautiful love between you and Ruby.”

Another Tiktok follower commented, “Sorry for your loss. I’m so happy you have such a beautiful moment caught on video forever. Meanwhile, another wrote, “The smile on her face says it all.”
