A video was posted on TikTok on September 29 of a man and his dog sitting and watching the sunset. Meanwhile, the video creator @itserikaeileen can’t stop crying over the moving scene. Since posting the video it has gone viral with more than 23 million views on the platform. The clip definitely touched a nerve with many TikTok members.

User @itserikaeileen, the TikTok creator describes herself as a confidence and sex coach for business owners. When she posted the video on Thursday, September 29, she probably wasn’t expecting the clip to go viral. Despite that, the clip has attracted more than 23 million views, with 5.7 million likes. Meanwhile, in her caption, she wrote that she “literally can’t stop crying my eyes out.”  Moreover, she added the hashtags, #wholesomemoment #portugal #traveltiktok.

In the TikTok clip, Erika obviously has tears rolling down her cheeks. She starts by asking, “Do y’all want to see the cutest thing I’ve ever seen in my f***ing life?” She turns the camera towards a man and his dog, which looks like a golden retriever, sitting next to each other on a bench overlooking the sunset. While watching, we see the owner putting his arm around the dog as they gaze out over the ocean.

Warning, the TikTok video does contain strong language, as Erika concludes by saying, “I say that I f***ing hate this world, but that was special.”

Meanwhile, the cute video attracted 16,000 new followers overnight as people shared and enjoyed the clip.

Since the video was posted, many other TikTok members have made their own clips to show how moved they were by the message. Meanwhile, scrolling through her videos, it seems that Erika was overwhelmed by all the comments she received.

One follower wrote, “Thanks for sharing and making me cry,” while another noted “What a beautiful moment. A dog’s love is special.” Another commented, writing, “Why do I feel he just lost his wife/husband and his dog is all he has left.”

Meanwhile, another TikTok user wrote, “Thank you for taking the time to capture something good. The world needs more of this.”

Shock over viral TikTok and comments

In a later video spoke about the TikTok going viral and the mixed messages she got from viewers. Some thought she should have walked up to the man and his dog to speak to him. Others wrote that she should have left the man alone to enjoy his moment. Meanwhile, Erika was quick to point out that her TikTok is not a dog account.

Erika later told her followers she had been in touch with a student, who claimed the man was her music teacher. The student sent the video to the teacher, who was apparently “super grateful and super happy” by the reception it received. The teacher said he appreciated “everyone enjoying the moment.” Erika added that the dog is fairly old and accompanies her owner “everywhere.”

Meanwhile, seeing that golden retriever’s tail wagging as his owner hugged him definitely brought out the tissues.
